General Terms of Trade

 

We are happy to accept work from overseas providing our terms of trade are agreed to and work is in English.

 

An hourly rate is charged for all secretarial work undertaken, rounded to the nearest 6-minute block (eg there are ten 6-minute blocks in an hour).  Disbursements such as photocopying, toll calls, fax charges, etc incurred on behalf of the client are additional. 

 

A tax invoice will be issued on completion of job or at a time otherwise agreed between the client and Office Magic Limited.  A deposit may be required prior to commencing work, or incremental payments may be required for large projects which may be worked on over a period of a month or more. 

 

Payment is due upon receipt of invoice for casual work, and monthly accounts for regular clients are payable within 7 days of receipt of invoice.  Payment can be made by cash, cheque, direct bank deposit or international money order.

 

Should payment not be made as outlined above, Office Magic Limited reserves the right to charge penalty interest at 15% per annum together with any additional costs incurred on recovery of any outstanding amounts on a solicitor and own client basis.

 

Rates are advised at time of initial job submission.  Office Magic Limited reserves the right to amend its charging structure at any time.

 

Final responsibility for proofreading completed work rests with the client.

 

Office Magic Limited has made a commitment to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act 1993 which relate to the collection, storage, usage and disclosure of personal and confidential information.

 

Office Magic Limited reserves the right to refuse a job for whatever reason and without giving reason for such refusal.

 

By forwarding work to Office Magic Limited you are undertaking that you have agreed with these terms and that your undertaking is legally binding.

 

Conditions of Guarantee

 

If a typographical error is found in any standard typed document, Office Magic Limited will correct that error free of charge, and that paragraph will also be free, but the error must be notified to Office Magic Limited within 24 hours of receipt of completed work. 

 

This condition applies only to standard word processed/typed documents, and not to special formatting work, data entry, desktop publishing, spreadsheet and database work, or any other type of document or work undertaken.  It also does not apply to errors made by the author that are subsequently included in the work by Office Magic Limited.  Final responsibility for proof-reading all completed work rests with the client.
